Construction and validation of educational booklet about spirometry for users

Spirometry should be performed to diagnose ventilatory changes and measure their severity in patients with signs symptoms. The objective was develop a booklet guide users on spirometry. This is methodological study that carried out the pulmonary function laboratory of Walter Cantídio hospital, located Fortaleza-Ceará-Brazil, after institutional consent. Ten spirometry exam, who were present at outpatient clinic referred interviewed, those agreed participate study, had or did not perform exam previously aged> 18 years, selected. For validation booklet, six judges issued opinion. results revealed most have before, but do know precautions must taken during exam.
